Run an agility course? Sure, MY DOG CAN DO THAT!
At the Houston World Series of Dog Shows, dog owners can run their dogs through mini agility course with help from experts.

HOUSTON, TX – The Houston World Series of Dog Shows is proud to bring back AKC’s My Dog Can Do That! to NRG Center, July 17-21, 2019. AKC’s My Dog Can Do That! is an event open to anyone with a ticket and a fearless dog willing to take on the daunting collapsed tunnel, the intrepid pole weave and the dreaded seesaw. Actually, it’s really not scary at all since owners and dogs alike get patient guidance and support from professional trainers in a relaxed and noncompetitive environment.

Show chairperson Tom Pincus says, “AKC’s My Dog Can Do That! gives anybody with a little determination and a willing pet an opportunity to experience what it’s like to train a dog for the challenges of agility. But it’s also just an enjoyable thing for dog lovers to do with their pets. The focus here is on interacting with your pet, not winning.”

AKC’s My Dog Can Do That! will take place Friday, July 19, from 12 to 4 p.m., Saturday, July 20, and Sunday, July 21, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Show attendees can sign up at the event competition area in Hall B; there are no additional costs to enter. Dog owners must keep their pets on regular, 4-to-6-foot leashes, confirm that their dogs are at least 6 months of age and present proof of rabies vaccinations.
