Advertising Specs and Details

Last year’s show had more than 40,000 vendors, competitors and attendees, and we hope this year we’ll have even more. Capture the eyes of an affluent, powerful audience made up of women and families who are all looking for pet-related or targeted services or products for their homes, and ways to bring the whole family together.

Digital Advertising

The Show offers advertising on its website, houstondogshows.com year-round, and in a 2-month package for June and July of a given year. The site averages more than 55,000 unique visitors annually, delivering more than 325,000 impressions to advertisers. Impressions are not guaranteed, but all advertisers receive an equal share of available impressions. No digital ad location is exclusive.

Please be aware that the dog show website is responsive; that is, it automatically shrinks down to fit tiny smartphone screens and expands to fill the larger screens of tablets and computers. Of course, the spaces available for banner ads shrink and enlarge along with the website. To ensure that your web banner ad can fit on screens of all sizes, please provide it in all four sizes listed. We want everybody viewing the dog show website to have a chance to see your ad, regardless of what type of device he is using.

  • Any digital advertising package will include four (4) sizes:
    • $1,000 for a full year run, includes a full page print ad
    • $400 for June and July
    • 728×90, 320×50, 300×600 and 970×250 pixels
    • Creative can be animated or static, and should be less than 90 kb
    • Permitted Formats: jpg, png or gif
    • Flash ads are not permitted

Print Advertising

The show’s program is another valuable place to consider advertising your business or service. More than 10,000 are printed each year. Spots are available on a first-come, first-serve basis and are available in full and half page sizes. A full-page ad is $400, and a half-page ad is $200.

  • Full-page ad size (full bleed):
    • 5″ wide by 8.5” high, .25” bleed, .25” safe area
    • 300 DPI in PDF or vector format with fonts outlined or provided, CYMK color
  • Half-page ad
    • 5” wide by 4.25” high, .25” safe area
    • 300 DPI in PDF or vector format with fonts outlined or provided, CYMK color

You can use our multi-file uploader to upload up to five (5) files in the following formats: jpg, png, gif or pdf (please use the advertising guidelines above to determine the appropriate format for each of your ads).
