Your Dog Can Be A Star

The Reliant Park World Series of Dog Shows is hosting the Your Dog Can Be A Star competition to select the poster dog for next year’s dog show.  Mini-photo shoots will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, July 20, and Sunday, July 21, at the Reliant Park World Series of Dog Shows.  Contenders must purchase tickets to the show to participate.

Pawfessional Pix photographer, Kelly Gabriel, will provide photography, and photos will be posted on Reliant Park World Series of Dog Show’s Facebook at the end of July. Fans will have two weeks to vote for their favorite dog. The three dogs with the most votes will be the finalists, and a winner will be chosen by Show Chairperson, Tom Pincus. The winning dog will be featured in dog show promotions and advertising as determined by the dog show.

All dogs participating in Your Dog Can Be A Star must be at least 6 months of age, on a leash and have proof of rabies vaccination. Registration is held at the event, and dog owners will be required to fill out a release form to participate. Sign-up for screen test shot times will begin at noon on both Saturday and Sunday. Dogs competing or exhibiting at the show are ineligible. This does not include My Dog Can Do That! participants. Dog costumes are not allowed (except bandanas).

Hello, Each time I attempt to vote for the Your Dog can be a Star contest the facebook webpage comes up blank.  Please advise if your site is experiencing technical difficulties.
    Thank you,

Will the winners of FB  be able to meet judges in person?

Thank you for your input, and that certainly may be a great idea in the future. However, at this time, we do not plan to have the top five dogs meet the judges, particularly since the contestants were not forewarned that this might be a requirement. As it stands now, the contest is based solely on the photogenic qualities of the dogs, which we think can be fairly judged by the audition photographs. Again, thanks for your interest in the dog show and our contest.
